Suzanne Kovitz on Her Journey as an Author

Suzanne Kovitz has been writing since childhood, turning her imagination into words long before she ever considered publishing. Inspired by personal experiences and driven by the determination to share meaningful stories, Suzanne’s journey as an author reflects both resilience and passion. In this interview, she opens up about her earliest inspirations, the challenges of publishing, lessons learned along the way, and the powerful messages behind her latest novel, Enemy Self.

1. When did you discover your passion for writing?
I discovered my passion for writing as soon as I learned how to write. I started writing stories as a child.

2. What encouraged you to make the leap of faith to publish your first book?
I had a dream after graduating college concerning all the bullying that I had endured in grade school. That was my single leap of faith to completing the novel, with the higher power backing me.

3. How did you get started with the publishing process?
I published with Amazon. It was a painstaking process, highly technical and very un-user friendly. I got a friend help me with the formatting aspects.
